Japan Raises Nuclear Alert, Equal to Chernobyl
The Article can be found here
And before anyone criticizes me for citing Fox News, I pick a random news site every day to find a good article.
Anyways, this incident about Japan's Nuclear plant exposing the populous to levels of radiation has been on every news channel since the damn quake. And it's always the same. "Radiation leaks in the water supply, ground, air, 500 mile radius, blah blah blah, not harmful to the populous". Well if it's so harmless then why the hell are you still reporting on it? Sounds to me like some people in really high places don't want to spread panic and this stuff might be a little more potent than they are letting on. I mean this article that I linked has Japan declaring their crisis on the same level as the disaster in Chernobyl, yet at the end, you see the familiar line "told reporters there was no direct health damage so far from the crisis."
Maybe there is, maybe there isn't. But I have a hunch that it's a little more complicated than that.

this sounds like. SERIOUS. BUSINESS. followed you.
ReplyDeleteSounds like it's going to be a good while before we hear any good news from Japan :(
ReplyDeleteman i hope this stuff gets sorted out. soon
ReplyDeleteuh oh not good
ReplyDeleteso what is the news bro
ReplyDeleteIm surprised we still have nuclear power plants, I hope after this the rest of the world takes proper precautions
ReplyDeletenot again this is just sad I feel sorry for them
ReplyDeleteOf course it's not harmless. Maybe no one's coughing up blood at the moment, but the long term environmental (and every creature dependent on that environment) damage is another story.
ReplyDeleteWow, I did not know the situation was this serious!
ReplyDeleteNot good. My prayers go out to Japan and their people.
ReplyDeleteno news is good news.
ReplyDeleteI heard infants aren't supposed to drink tap water because of the dangers of radiation. God Bless Japan in this time of need
ReplyDeleteThat's so super scary :(
ReplyDeleteI think Japan will be worst than Chernobyl
ReplyDeleteI have an old roommate from college that was in his office building in Tokyo when it all went down and have been keeping in touch with him on and off just getting updates. He has decent English speaking ability so he said that he has been keeping up with the American news on Japan and says its funny how people on the coasts of the US were "losing their minds" about possible radiation poisoning. People just like to freak out is my view on the whole thing. People in Japan might have a reasons to get "in the know" but us Americans need to take it down a few notches i think.
ReplyDeleteBut again that is just my 2 cents, great post BTW keep up the good work.
The only thing I care about is how in the long run this affects the commoners view of how and what nuclear power is. Nuclear power is still far safer and creates less pollution than coal and oil power.
ReplyDeletelil worse than i thought i guess...
ReplyDeleteToo many people don't understand that.
ReplyDeleteOnce again Japan's culture of honor hinders them again, same when they didn't surrender after the first nuclear bomb....
ReplyDeleteno offense....
too proud for their own good
