Government Shutdown

Just a short post to get my blog started, but I'd like to talk about the proposed Government shutdown.  I am an active duty member of the Marine Corps right now, so a Government shutdown means no pay for yours truly.  As a Lance Corporal, I don't make enough to live off of savings, so I am living paycheck to paycheck.  I have a couple hundred bucks to make it between paychecks after my bills are paid.  Even a delay in my pay would set me behind on my bills and begin to ruin my spotless credit that I have worked so hard for.

I'd like to be enlightened on how a Government shutdown even solves the problem.  Yes, it will create a massive amount of revenue toward the federal government to help with the budget, and it will delay (only delay) the approval of a budget.  How does it SOLVE the problems with the budget, though?  All I see is a giant inconvenience to the tax payers because Congress is too immature to come together and create this budget.

  10. I can't believe we are in this crisis. We should stop helping other nations, if we can't help our own.
