Chinese Police Detain Illegal Church Members on Easter

Find the original article Here

There is a bit of a spin to this one, but then again it is from Fox News.  The reason these church members were detained was not because they were practicing Christianity, but rather they were an unregistered church practicing in a public place.  This wasn't the first time they got detained, either.  They have been doing this with the same result for months prior, every sunday.  It just so happens that it made news on Easter Sunday.

In China, there is freedom of religion (or so they say), but every church has to register to a state-owned organization in order to worship.  For those 60 million Chinese who do not do so and practice anyways, they can get detained and placed on house arrest or worse.

How do you feel about this?
